A Little More About Ellie
I am a neurodiversity-affirming speech pathologist who enjoys working in early intervention and with primary school-aged children. I'm committed to supporting autistic individuals and their families, especially those at the start of their journey, to understand and celebrate their unique strengths.
I use a play-based, child-led approach and prioritise sensory-motor experiences as well as the child's interests to support their engagement in sessions. I'm passionate about educating parents, especially in the early years, and have completed Hanen — More Than Words, Natural Language Acquisition (Gestalt Language Processing), and Introduction to the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) training.
I love working as part of a multidisciplinary team to strongly advocate for my clients across a range of settings including school and daycare. I also have experience working with children with speech sound difficulties and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
